Steven Smith

April 26, 1957 - August 9, 2019

​​Smith, Steven – Peacefully at his Holland Centre home on Friday, August 9, 2019, at age 62. He is survived by his loving partner of 29 years, Janice Merritt.  Survived by their children Greg Merritt (Dawn) and Denise Merritt (Shane Tucker). Also survived by his sister Cecilie Beeswanger (David) and their children Jessica Horvath (Peter) and Vanessa Munda (Gal). Special grandpa to Alexandra, Kristine, Greg, Tyler, and Samantha, and dear uncle to his grand-niece Eva. Predeceased by his parents Cecil and Michiko Smith (nee Hara).

Steven was born in New Brunswick, and raised as an 'army brat', as his parents relocated several times. He completed his schooling in Toronto, and for over 40 years, was employed at the Owens-Illinois Glass Plant in Brampton. Steven was a member of  the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 464, Chatsworth.
