The family of Ted Tilker of Markdale, sadly announce his peaceful passing at Brightshores Health System- Markdale, on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at age 84. Ted was the cherished partner of Cathy Rogerson and her extended family. Loving father of Lisa Comrie, Terri Comrie (Peter McDonald), and Sean Tilker. Proud grandpa of Emily Nikolaou, and Kyle, Jacob “JJ ”, Lucas, and Travis McDonald, and Cole and Taylor White. He will be fondly remembered by Jan Seal and many friends in the community.

 

Ted had an extensive career in the auto industry, first running his own body shop and afterwards as an insurance appraiser. Since he and his co-workers often carried clipboards, they created the “Clipboard Invitational” Golf Tournament for family and friends. He was an avid darts player at the Flesherton and Markdale Legion. Very community minded, and putting others before himself, he was also a member of the Shriners Club and Masons.
