Lola Neelands

Neelands (Young), Lola Elizabeth.  - Of RR5 Chatsworth, passed away suddenly at home on October 20, 2015 at age 74, with her husband at her side.

Lola is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, William  A. Neelands and five children: Rick Neelands of Markdale, Kim Lovett (Robert) of Dryden, Darlene Neelands-Ormsby of Meaford, Heather Walters (Kevin) of Markdale, and Todd Neelands (LeeAnn) of Chatsworth. Lola will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Nathan, Megan, Kyle(Megan), Adam, Ryan(McKenzie), Colin(Heather), Aaron, Andrew, Ashley, Nichole and great grand-children Skylar and Breyer. Lola is survived by her sister Lois  Saltonoski (Al) and predeceased by brothers Edward (Ted) and Lloyd Young and parents William James Young of Holland Township and Lillian Alberta Johnston of Markdale.

Lola enjoyed working at the IGA bakery department for 18 years.  She loved her family, friends, coworkers, and community and always had time to listen.  She lived for the gatherings around the piano whether in community, at home or entertaining with her brother in law Hugh at local nursing homes.  Her passion for dogs, entertaining, dancing, cooking, gardening, reading, writing and crafts expressed her love of life.

Lola’s arrangements are entrusted to Garafraxa Hill Funeral Home, Chatsworth. Family will receive friends at visitations Friday, October 23 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm . Funeral Service will be at Garafraxa Hill Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, October 24th at 11:00 am with interment to follow at McLean’s Cemetery, Bognor. A lunch will be provided at the Massie United Church.
