Doris Hillis

Hillis, Doris (nee McKay) - of Chatsworth, passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on September 24, 2019, at Chapman House, Owen Sound in her 98th year. Wife of the late Earl Hillis. Doris is survived by her nephew Paul McKay (Brenda), and was great-aunt to Melissa Di Federico (Albert), and Scott McKay. Dear friend to Phil and Linda Carter. Predeceased by her parents Phil and Lulu McKay, daughter Barbara, and siblings Earl and infant baby McKay. Doris will be remembered for her passion as the clerk-treasurer for the village of Chatsworth for 36 years, and as organist at the Presbyterian Church.

The funeral service will be held at the Garafraxa Hill Funeral Home, Chatsworth at 11:30 am on Monday  September 30, with a visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Reverend Diane Dier officiating. Family and friends are invited to a luncheon at the Funeral Home reception area following the service.  Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound. The family would like to thank everyone at Kelso Pines for their care over the past few years, as well as all the love, care, and support at Chapman House; you are truly an amazing team.
