Stew was a great friend, neighbour. He and my dad were great friends.  My dad and I lived with Stew at his farm in massie for awhile.  Than later after Stew sold the farm in Massie he moved in with my dad and I for a bit....have  many great memories. Will never forget them. after my dad passed away  Stew and I become closer and he was there to help me out when ever I needed it. Helped me with my psw course. Will miss our weekly chats and visits.. sending my condolences to Paul,  Stephen, and families..  Rest in peace Stew.. You and Dad will be talking about the good old day. Till me meet again.

I am remembering, this weekend, the many years shooting with Stew often followed by the obligatory fish and chips. The last year or two, our get togethers were more often conversations in his home with a good cuppa tea made by a proper Englishman. He was a respected mentor to his wide circle of friends in the motorcycling and sport shooting communities, always with an air of civility. An understatement to say he will be greatly missed.

We were so sorry to hear about the passing of Stew. He was an important part of the community and a really good and valued friend. We enjoyed all of his stories that he was always willing to tell. I had just been thinking of Stew and thinking of arranging another visit and meal at our house. We will treasure all of our times and memories with Stew.

Really sorry Stewart has passed, he was just a 1st class guy, true biker, and long time friend.

Stew & I rode many a mile together on our motorcycles , longest being a ride down to North Carolina . We were both members of the Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group where I met Stew. He talked me into running for President of our local Section and he served as President as well, a position he did with much finesse. He became a close friend . Many chit chats about bloody ole England he had with my partner Derek who also hailed from the London area as well. Stewart showed me the proper safe way to shoot a handgun. He generously hosted many CVMG meetings at his home in Williamsford. Most appreciated were the 2 major overhauls of my beloved 1983 BMW R65LS that Stew not just helped but showed me how to do the jobs, and kept the bike in his basement! He had the most perfectly arranged home for motorcycles!! Another plus to knowing big hearted Stew was learning how to cook rice without all the precise measuring. We had many a long chat in his home and under the stars and canvas of our two tent sites wherever the darkness overtook our journey. Stew will be missed a lot. RIP Stew....may this journey have no flat tires.

When we joined the Sydenham Gun Club he taught us both how to shoot the hand guns. Got us our license. He was a good friend!
