Remembering Nick Norton

From: Georgina Stevens

Dear Teresa, I was so sorry to hear of Nick's passing.  I just wanted to let you know that I was thinking of you and all your family.  I know what it feels like to lose the one you love.  Take care of yourself. Love Gina    XO

Dad, spending those last few days of your life with you meant the world to me.  We talked about so much, as you were my captive audience.  I will forever miss you but I must march on as you would want me to do so.  Many people have said such lovely things about you and that makes me so proud.  I miss your blue eyes, I miss your voice but most of all, I just miss the man who has been in my life for 58 years.  I hope you are happy and pain free daddy. Please feel free to visit anytime.  Forever your only daughter.  Terry xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox

WELL NICK YOU ALWAYS TOLD ME THAT YOU WANTED TO WORK UNTIL THE DAY YOU WENT TO SEE YOUR MAKER AND YOU DID JUST THAT. I WORKED ALONG SIDE YOU FOR SOME 30 PLUS YEARS, YOU TAUGHT ME A LOT ABOUT DOING BUSSINESS AND I THINK I TAUGHT YOU A BIT ABOUT CARPENTER WORK. MOST TIMES WE SEEN EYE TO EYE AND AFTER MANY YEARS OF COMPLETING PROJECTS TOGETHER  AND BECOMING FELLOW TRADES PERSONS AND GOOD FRIENDS I REALIZED YOUR BARK WAS WAY WORSE THAN YOUR BITE. YOU AND TERESA WILL ALWAYS BE SPECIAL PEOPLE TO ME . I AM SURE YOU ARE UP THERE RIGHT NOW DESIGNING A NEW SET OF LOG GATES FOR HEAVEN. REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND

Dear Theresa and family, We are so saddened by the news of Nick’s passing. The world has lost another one of the good guys. And he sure was one of the best. Nick was one of the very best contractors  Allan ever worked for.
Both Nick and you Theresa will always hold a special place in our hearts.

From: Ken & Karen Jank
It is with great sadness that we learned of Nick's passing.  It is very seldom in life that someone can make such a positive impact on a person in such a short period of time.  But that speaks to the great man that Nick was.  We will always cherish our memories of Nick building our home this past summer and building a tremendous friendship.  Nick said to us "When I'm done building this house, I don't just want you to be my our customer, but our friends too".  And that, we will always be. Rest in Peace Nick.

From: Bob and Pat Schallhorn
Dear Teresa we are so sorry to hear of Nick's passing. Nick built our beautiful log home in Williamsford and through that we became great friends. We will miss popping in for "Happy Hour" at the shed, for the stories Nick always had, for the big hugs, for getting to know all about you family, sharing dinners from time to time. We will be up to see you soon. You are in our prayers.

Dan and I send our sincere condolences to Teresa and to Rick, Bruce, Terry and families.
We always enjoyed his mischievous antics and his distinctive laugh as he told his latest, and "sometimes" off-colour jokes. We enjoyed his and Teresa's , (Mom) company on several fun filled vacations and cruises. Nick was a great supporter of family and friends and he will be surely missed.

Lisa and I would like to pass on our deepest and heartfelt condolences to Teresa and family on the passing of Nick. I met Nick as a young person through business and I was taken with him immediately.  Always quick with a joke, fair and fun to deal with and always a supporter of mine.  When I had personal troubles a number of years back he was one of the first to contact me and said come visit and we'll talk.   Always gentlemanly with advice, he became a friend and mentor.  Teresa and Nick opened their home many times to visits.  He was so proud of his family, and I will miss his laugh dearly.  I've met very few like this man.  RIP Nick.

Please accept our condolences. We will always remember his easy going ways, his friendliness, willingness to help and to go the extra distance.  He always had a mischievous nature, was quick to smile and joke. He will be missed. There is little that can be said to help with the grief that is felt, but know that our thoughts are with your family.

My sincere condolences to Nick's entire family and especially, Teresa. I haven't lived in Williamsford for many years but I remember Nick vividly.  We owned the gas station and he was always around for a coffee and a chat with all of the gang.  He always had a joke up his sleeve or some kind of high jinks.  He loved to tease.  As a kid, I remember being in awe of the beautiful log homes he used to build. Take comfort in your many memories, Nick lived a long and full life. Thinking of you,

Wanda Lang (Flooren) , Richmond, Virginia

To Teresa and Family, we wish you all the strength in the coming time. Nick was like a father for us when we came to Williamsford. We are so thankful for all the advice and help he has given us by the start up of our business. We always are going to remember him as a hard worker and beautiful man. We will miss him.
