Remembering Milena Wells

From: Kathy Ivey & Family

Dear Jeff and Family, Please accept my most heartfelt condolences on the passing of your Mother (Millie). She was a truly eloquent and beautiful woman who brought so much warmth and joy to everyone around her. I will always cherish the wonderful memories of her, starting back in 1997 when my father purchased the farm across the road. From that very first day, Millie became a wonderful neighbor and a great friend to my father and our entire family. We will never forget her kindness, and especially the soft spot she always held in her heart for my brother Shawn.

Millie had a beautiful way of making people feel loved. For years, she was always dropping off her fresh-baked cookies and sweets. Later on, whenever my granddaughters came up to visit, there was Millie again, knocking on the door with treats for the girls. She left such a lasting impression on them that she actually inspired my granddaughters to take up baking and learn how to knit. Her sweet spirit and traditions will truly live on through them. Millie was a gift to our lives, and she will be deeply missed. May God give you and your family the strength, peace, and comfort to overcome this profound loss.

With love and deepest sympathy,
Kathy Ivey & Family

My sincere condolences to Julie, John and Milena's family and friends.
Your Mom was an extraordinary lady. I had the pleasure of meeting Milena through our work in Montessori. She was this bright light anywhere she went. Milena loved working with children and no doubt she left ever lasting impressions on those lives she touched. Milena was multi talented in many different aspects in life. I loved listening to her play the accordion. Milena, I thank God for the privilege of meeting you and working with you. Julie has kept me up to date with your life in the country which you adored. Safe travels my sweet friend and thanks for the wonderful memories.

Deepest sympathy to all touched by the life this Lady led. Stoic and beyond reproach in her beliefs, her courage and temperance. I know she will continue to watch over us from her home above. Miss you Millie (Bella), your stories, humour, songs and poems I hope they have a piano ready for you, and when the clouds down here part and the sun shines through, I'll know that's you belting one out. Play on my friend.

I didn't know Millie personally, but I understand she was very supportive of the Walters Falls Group of Artists.
I can see she was quite and interesting person who had a zest for life. May her memory be a blessing.
