Remembering Maurits Hallo

From: Sharon Kennedy

Sorry to hear this sad news. Maurits was a great golfer and supporter of Homestead resort and played cards with my parents Joe and Greta Kennedy at the Monday night card games at Rockwood Terrace. He will be missed by many.

From: Elva Brown

My sincere condolences to all of his family. I'll always remember him at church every Sunday, with his wonderful wardrobe, that so suited him. Will meet him again one day in heaven.

From: John and Penny Emsley

Maurice was a very special person that loved life and rolled with the punches. never getting caught up in petty stuff. He loved golf and always came up with a shot that left you scratching your head as he'd won money that sparked a twinkle in his eye saying "I told you so". He will be missed around the community, golfing, cards, walking his dog,....of course for his wardrobe that defied description. The people at Four Square church will miss him and his spontaneous comments. We're looking forward to meeting again in eternity and know he's enjoying his new residence with Jesus. God Bless, John and Penny

Dear Fran and family, It is with heart felt sympathy and love that we express our condolences to each of you. Maurice was faithful in his attendance at our Sunday gatherings with the Foursquare church family and he will really be missed by all. We are thankful for his friendship and good memories that he left with us. We would often see him walking his dog in town, and he was not hard to spot. The bright orange shirt (in support of the Dutch soccer team) and his knee high socks made his stick out. He was not afraid to dress as he wished that is for sure. I say that with a smile. Maurice had personal faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and this is an assurance and comfort to us that he is present with God now and at peace. Now may the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the God of all comfort, Who comforts us in all our troubles be your comfort at this time. We will continue to remember you in our prayers. Louie and Gladys

From: Willem Meinerrs

Mauk was both a childhood cousin and a childhood friend. Fond memories of making fun together in Baarn and Callantsoog. He was an early adventurer, taking to the seas long before the rest of us. I always had a great deal of respect for Mauk. To Fran and the kids: I send you the warmest of greetings and the best of wishes. May you soon learn to smile each time you think of him. Although I never had the pleasure to meet him, it is clear that he gifted his loving wife and all of his family with kindness, generosity, companionship and warmth. Michelle and I send our condolences to Fran (Cis), and the whole extended family who are grieving such a big loss at this time. Love Diane Taylor and Michelle Corbett
