Thoughts and prayers to Joan’s family. I worked with Joan when she was the Art Consultant for the Grey County Board of Education. She was such a lovely lady - always with a smile on her face. I will always remember the child’s picnic table that Carlo made and they gifted to us.

To the dear family of Joan, I had the pleasure of being both a student when Joan was Art Consultant and then a colleague, when I began my teaching career at Holland Chatsworth. As a student, we used to love the days when Mrs Vassella would come to share great art activities. Growing up in a small rural area, we had not had many opportunities to explore the art world, and Joan opened that door for us. As a beginning teacher at HCCS, I always admired Joan’s endless energy and the twinkle in her eye when she worked with her young students. I also remember her devotion and love for her pets. Joan made a difference. My sincere condolences to you.

She’s not gone though we’re apart. She lives in whispers of the heart. In every breeze, in every light, her laughter lingers in the air. Her love still wraps us everywhere . To all who knew Joan, carry the love she gave to you. I’ll miss our too short visits, and I’ll miss and love you forever. Nancy
