To the entire Walker (and Graham) clan, our deepest sympathies in the loss of this wonderfully independent and truly energetic woman. May she rest in peace (although we all know that isn't her style.)

I was one of Jean's first students.  I believe I was is grade six and this was the time when Gerald Walker was very much in the picture.  Every day was new and interesting.  I seem to remember not being able to get away with anything, but,  we always felt that she was fair in the way we were treated.  My condolences to her family.

Dear Connie, David and families,

I am so sorry to hear about your Mom.  She was a very nice lady and I always enjoyed talking to her when she would come into the store for gas.  Jean was a hard worker whether it be as a teacher or on the farm.  She was always on the go.  She was always very interested in us kids and what we were doing and she was always so proud to talk about you two, Connie and David.  Even though I wouldn't see you much after you left for school, I always knew exactly what you were up to because your Mom would be so happy to share.  I loved her friendliness and her quick wave.
I also remember her hosting our Grade 8 Graduation party in your basement.  She also used to have a couple of very fat cats.  Lots of good Williamsford memories and the Walker family was a great part of that.
Thinking of you all and praying that happy thoughts of your mom will comfort you.

I send my heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Walker's family.  She taught me Grade 3 at Holland Chatsworth. I think of her often with fondness.  She helped shape the person I am today. She was tough but always made me want to live up to her expectations.  I'm so glad that I am one of the many who was taught by her.

I was saddened to hear of Jean's passing.  She was my teacher at SS5 Holland when I was in Grade 8.  Later on she was also my two sons teacher when they went to Holland Chatsworth school.  Some teachers impact their students more than others,  Jean was one of the good ones.
