Phyllis, Jean and I were to gather at different stages during our Nursing Training and of course I was the one with the straight hair and jealous. In Toronto, Jean told me not to stare at the tall buildings- didn't want Torontonians to think we were from the hicks. We attended a radio game show and my number was called. I won $16.00 which I bought Jean and Phyllis a treat from a specialty shop on our way home. I was honoured to be one of her bridesmaids. We have kept in touch( a system Jean designed). She and I met in person with Helen Woodhouse in June 2024. Blessings, Hazel (Boyes) Lavender

My sincere condolences for your loss of such a strong thoughtful family matriarch. I am grateful for her contributions to the extended family. For example, her impeccable production of the family tree with personal enveloping attention to each one of us. Her courage was contagious and I'm glad I caught some of it.
