Remembering Evelyn Mitchell

From: Cathy McLay (Moore)

Thinking of all of you in the Mitchell family. I didn’t realize your Mom had passed away until I heard about your loss of Glen. Your family has had more than your share of loss. Hold onto your memories and take care of each other. I have many great memories of our Saturday night “jam sessions” at Evelyn and Stan’s with Deb and Phyllis. Hugs!

My sincere sympathies on the passing of Evelyn.  It is sad that such a memorable resident of the village has now died.  I remember her always helping at the local functions and always saying hello with a bright smile.  May your memories console you during this sorrowful time.

My deepest condolences to the Mitchell families. Evelyn was a wonderful neighbour, co- worker and friend. She was a great baker and had a awesome sense of humour. As kids we would make sure to make it to Evelyn’s for some home made fudge every year on Halloween. My kids grew up to do the same. She loved the children and the children loved her. My kids would call her Gramma, and there was many others who did the same. I feel so blessed to have had her in my life. She will be deeply missed. Sending lots of love Frances

My heart goes out to you and your families Glen, Glenda and Debbie. Your mom was a special lady! I have fond memories from camping, outings and Williamsford garden parties with Ross and Debbie and getting to know her family. I feel so thankful and blessed. Losing a mother is one of the deepest sorrows our heart knows. Your mom left you beautiful memories, your love for her is still your guide. Although you cannot see her she will forever be by your side. May courage, comfort and love surround you at this difficult time and may you all treasure the many precious moments shared. Debbie, lm just a phone call away. I wish you healing and peace. Your all in my thoughts and prayers, God bless you all.
