95 Years of Love, Light & Legacy
Gladys Patricia Cox (née Roberts), affectionately known as “Nana,” passed away peacefully at Southbridge Care Home in her 95th year.
Beloved mother of Karen Cox (Russ). Cherished grandmother of Kelly (Charles), John (Sophia), Kellie (Nick), and Jewelee (Clint). Proud and loving great-grandmother of Aurora, Willow, Isobel, Cheyenne, John, Gabe, and Lachlan. Gladys will also be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, and her brother Fred. She was predeceased by her parents, James and Minnie Roberts; her dear sister Phyllis; and her beloved daughter, Teresa.
Gladys’s life was centered around her family, who meant everything to her. She found her greatest joy in time spent together—whether at home, traveling, or simply sharing in life’s everyday moments. She had a love for travel and exploring new places, and took great pride in her gardening, always appreciating the beauty and rewards of her efforts. She was happiest when she could share those passions with her family.
A guiding light to all who knew her, Gladys had a remarkable way of showing others how to live with kindness, strength, and grace. Even in life’s most difficult moments, she helped those around her find hope and meaning, turning challenges into opportunities with quiet wisdom and unwavering love. Her legacy of compassion, resilience, and optimism will continue to shine through the lives she touched.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Garafraxa Hill Funeral Home, Chatsworth, Ontario. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. Spring interment, Lakeview Cemetery, Meaford. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
