Larry Edward Wilson

A pillar of the Shallow Lake and Georgian Bluffs community, Larry Edward Wilson, owner of Wilson's Gas Service, passed at GBHS Health Services in Owen Sound, on Wednesday July 26, 2023, at age 72. Beloved husband of 48 years to Brenda Wilson (nee Noble). Proud father of Scott Wilson (Alisa) and Lisa Garrett (Paul), all of Georgian Bluffs. Loving and doting grandpa to his 'dolly' Jade, and grandsons Nick (Arieana), Nate, and Noah. Brother of Patty Sword (George) and Jane Hutchinson (Steve). Fondly remembered by his in-laws Doug Lebar, Malcolm Long (Anne), Nancy Heathers (Dennis Burleigh), Marilyn Fewster (Don), Mark Long (Andrea) and Robert Noble (Wilma), and his many loving nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his extensive network of friends through his work, community, and sports teams, all of whom he thought of and treated as family. Predeceased by his sister Joan Lebar, parents Russell Edward and Vinnie Wilson (nee Bridges), and in-laws Lois Noble (Ritchie), Blake Noble, and Mabel Noble.

 

Cremation has taken place and arrangements have been entrusted to the Garafraxa Hill Funeral Home, Chatsworth. A come and go Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Owen Sound Legion, on Friday August 18, from 4:00 – 8:00pm; speeches and moments of remembrance will commence at 5:00pm.
