Remembering Terry Specht

From: Wendy McMillan

This goes out to Terry's family . I just now was told of Terry's passing and I was in total disbelief... I guess God needs another angel . I will always remember Terry as he always treated me with the utmost kindness and respect and right away he would make me laugh and made me feel as tho I belonged. I met Terry from Sutherlands and was working for Walkers this season and he smiled and welcomed me back , he never changed . The words that come to mind are kind , loving, good natured , helpful , a friend, true qualities that we don't see much of anymore which makes him unforgettable . God's speed my dear friend .

Remember the years of paving with what we jokingly called Specht Paving Ltd. through out Grey, Bruce & Simcoe counties (most of crew were Specht family members) Terry showed expertise in his job and had a great rapport with his employees and the broker trucks that worked with him. Due to covid I send my best wishes and regret in not being able to attend the service. Wayne Croft

From: Wanda Lang (Flooren)

Dear Specht family, I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of Terry. My memories of him are from much younger days in Williamsford. The entire Specht family was really such a big part of the town and as my brother said the other day, "They were all such good people." I never knew Terry without a smile on his face and willing to help everyone. He drove me to work every day for two summers when we both, along with Brad A., worked for Cox Construction. I never realized, (being 16), that I needed looking out for but I know he was. My heart breaks for his children and the rest of the family. Heaven is an amazing place but the problem is that we don't all go at the same time. My sincerest sympathy, Wanda Lang (Flooren) Richmond, Virginia

Sending condolences to Terry's family, work family, and friends. Uncle Terry was very special to our family. He was quick to help with anything. He'd give you the shirt off his back. The memories he left will help us carry on after the shock of loosing him. As Scotty McCreery sings: "I wish I had a few more drops of the good stuff, the good times But they just keep on flyin' Right on by, like it ain't nothin' I wish I had me a pause button Moments like those, Lord knows I'd hit it Sometimes this old life will leave you wishin' That you had five more minutes" Thank you for the love you've shown us. Your work here on earth is done. We Love You. Rest in Peace Uncle Terry. Trace, Karen, Jeff, Mark and Morgan
