It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Anthony Bryan, who passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at the age of 63 in Holland Centre, Ontario. Richard was born on June 20, 1962 in Kingston, Jamaica. He was known for his kindness, creativity, humour, generosity, and ingenuity. Richard will be remembered for always being up to the challenge to solve any technical issues, helping others in need and being open to listen to your story. Above all, Richard cherished his family. He leaves behind his beloved children, Majenta (Vince) of North York, Jerod of Blue Mountain, Daxton, and Matthew, both of of Barrie. Richard is survived by his loving parents, Lambert and Violet Bryan (nee Ngyou), his sister Andrea, all of Scarborough, fiancee Christa of Holland Centre, and his cherished nieces, Tamarinn, Zharia and Mylah. He will be deeply missed by his extended family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Richard enjoyed tinkering and rebuilding any electrical items, computers and machinery, and donating to those in need. Those who knew him will remember his gift of telling stories of time in the army, his memory of childhood in Jamaica, and his zeal for sharing what he does not know. Though he is gone too soon, Richard’s love and memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him.

Cremation has taken place and arrangements have been entrusted to the Garafraxa Hill Funeral Home, Chatsworth, Ontario. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, March 23, at 1:00pm.
