Iva Viola Rennie (Miller)
August 26, 1932 - March 3, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Iva Rennie (Miller; nee Seabrook), who died peacefully at Southampton Hospital on March 3, 2026 in her 94th year. She will be deeply missed by her daughters Lynn Dodds (Rick) of Fergus, Phyllis Kennedy (Warren) of Chatsworth, Pam Patterson (Mark) of South River and by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Iva is also survived by her sister Olive Richardson. Predeceased by her husbands George Miller and Hugh Rennie, infant son Robert Miller, daughter Patricia Armstrong (Bryan), son Greg Miller (Janice), sisters Blanche, Hazel, Myrtle and Edna, and by her parents George and Mabel Seabrook (nee Dixon). Iva will be remembered by her many nieces, nephews, and dear friends in the community.

 

Iva had a love for dancing, knitting, cards, sewing, bowling and her family whom she always put before her own needs. She was a long-time switchboard operator at the Owen Sound Hospital for over 30 years.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Garafraxa Hill Funeral Home, Chatsworth, Ontario. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, March 21, at 2:00 p.m., with a visitation one hour prior. David Fries presiding. Friends are invited to remain after the service for sharing of memories and fellowship. Spring interment Greenwood Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Kidney Foundation or Diabetes Canada would be appreciated by the family. Condolences may be expressed online at garafraxahillfuneral.com.
