STEPHENS, Glen Ronald – of Williamsford passed peacefully in Durham, Wednesday, May 3rd, 2017, in his 82nd year. Glen is now reunited with his beautiful wife Catherine “Kate “(Elliot) who passed in 2015. He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters, Ruth McCartney (Ken) and Mary Stephens,  sisters- in-law Mary Mortley(Ken), Janet Ruthven (Wayne), Irma McCutcheon and brothers-in-law  Bob Elliot (Carol) and Tom Elliot (Lina). Glen is predeceased by his parents, Henry Stephens and Hilda (Hanna), sister Ina Earle (Randolf). He will be missed dearly by 15 nieces and nephews.

Glen was a devoted husband, caring for Kate for many years. After Kate’s death Glen’s loyal companion was Fred, their loving hound. Glen had many jobs before he found his true passion of collecting antiques. He opened a store in Chatsworth and spent 7 decades buying and selling various treasures including powder horns, railway lamps, stamps, post cards and hunting knives.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at the GARAFRAXA HILL Funeral Home on Saturday, May 6th, 2017. Please join the family from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm for fellowship and lunch. A private family inurnment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery. Family has requested donations to Residential Hospice of Grey Bruce, Arthritis Society or a charity of your choice.
