McCarthy-With great sadness, the family of Bruce McCarthy of Chatsworth announce his passing at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Thursday February 27, 2020, at the age of 79. Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Janet Elizabeth McCarthy (nee Wilson). Cherished father of Mark McCarthy of Holland Centre, Glenn McCarthy (Anne) of Chatsworth and Lori Anne Wendling (Dave) of Ottawa. Proud grandfather of Luke, Colin, Taylor, Curtis, Kelly, Hailey, Cole, and Rachel, and great grandpa of Sawyer, Adeliene, Elleah, Titus, and Audrey. Lovingly  remembered by his dear sister Jane Jackson (George) of Alliston. Predeceased by his parents Edward and Dorothy McCarthy (nee Murphy), sister Bernadette Collins (Lorne), granddaughter Amber Lyall-Ashby, and infant son Aaron Bruce McCarthy.

Visitations will be held at the Garafraxa Hill Funeral Home, 251 Garafraxa St., Chatsworth, on Tuesday March 3, from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 554 15th Street East, Owen Sound on Wednesday March 4, 2020, at 11:00 am, Father Wojciech Kuzma officiating.
