Memories of Carlie Currie

From: Joelle Kolodny
Steve, MacKenzie, Josh, Darlene, Hubby and Colin: I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Words can't accurately express the sorrow. Though we weren't great at keeping up regular correspondence, it was always like no time had passed when Carlie and I caught up. I will fondly treasure our time as roommates together at McGill, meeting up in New Zealand, helping to celebrate your wedding and the NB hospitality. I will forever associate Turkey Tetrazanni with the Hunters. Carlie loved all of you so much and was so proud of each of you. I hope this knowledge brings some measure of comfort for you at this time. MacKenzie & Josh: though we never got to meet in person, I've heard all about you since day one and will happily share memories of your mom (and maybe some incriminating stories/photos) if ever you are interested. You brought your mom so much joy. Please accept my deepest condolences.

From: Golem & Kotaba family
Shock, disbelief, denial, loss, sorrow, sympathy - so many emotions rippled through our family when we heard the news of Carlie's passing. I can't imagine the depth or the intensity of those being experenced by your family but we are praying that you find the strength, determination and love to support each other now and always. Please accept our deepest sympathies, our sincere condolances and our honest offer to help in any way we can. Carlie was always sweet, kind, gentle and supportive in all interactions with our family. May the positive energy she put forth into the universe be returned 100x to her family in your time of need. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

From: Lori Warren
Dear family of Carlie...it is with great surprise and sadness that I learned of your loss. Deepest sympathy and hugs are sent to all. Carlie and I attended grade school together and found ourselves renting an apartment together in Saint John during my undergrad studies and what I believe was her first clinic placement or first position in Physiotherapy. I can remember her bringing in the parental troops to help with the cleaning. She was of beautiful heart and soul. May peace find you. Most sincerely, Lori

We are friends of Glen at Yoho Lake. We were so very sorry to hear of Carlie's passing. I (Maureen) taught Carlie at Harold Peterson in Oromocto and our son, Aaron, knew her as well. From: Laura, Glen, Brent, Andy and Matt Martin
As we sit here grieving the passing of Carlie, we think of the fond memories that we have of her. We think of her laugh, her smiling face, fun times spent with her at a food booth at a Massie auction event, helping in the Church for one of the dinners, the fellowship in the Church basement after the service and all those special Christmas concerts, where she had worked so hard with the small children to teach them a song or skit. She will leave a huge hole in our lives, but with our memories, she will always be with us. We pray for you-Steve,MacKenzie and Josh and your extended families and hope that with the support of family and friends, you will find peace and comfort. In sympathy, Glen,Laura, Brent, Andy and Matt

From: Kelly Miller
I had the pleasure to work briefly with Carlie and she was a kind, patient, professional person and a great teacher. As well, I interacted with Carlie from the perspective of the daughter of one of her clients. She was again caring, understanding, supportive and encouraging to my parents during her time in their home. It is always such a relief when people coming in to help with our loved ones have these traits and truly care for the people that they are working with as Carlie did. I am very sorry for you loss. She will be missed

From: John Ford
Our most heartfelt and sincere condolences to Steve, Mackenzie and Josh. I'll always remember Carlie as a warm, genuine and intelligent woman whose smile was always present. The depth of her pain must have been immense and her death is a tragedy for so many reasons. But in life she raised a wonderful daughter who I have come to know as a dear friend to my own daughter and a warm, intelligent and wonderful person in her own right. Carlie's life and love will live on in Mackenzie and Josh, Steve and the many other people she touched during her life. Strength and love for the future. John Ford and Haviva Ford.
