Gay Lynne Moore

September 25, 1948 - April 25, 2023

The family of Gay Lynne Moore sadly announce her passing at her Chatsworth home on Tuesday April 25, 2023, at the age of 74. Mother of Michael George Arndt (Judi Lynn Smelko) of Hanover. Proud grandma of Danielle (Justin), Emily (David) and Christian (Tiffany). Predeceased by her sister Peggy Anne Moore and parents George and Gladys Moore (nee Speers).

Gay Lynne had a long career as an RNA and Palliative Care Provider at VERSA-CARE/Summit Place Owen Sound. She made a difference in many lives over the years. In her retirement, she was active at the Chatsworth Royal Canadian Legion and enjoyed volunteering at the Grey Roots Heritage Museum and Archives, where she played a roll at the Moreston Heritage Village. In quieter times, her favourite place was at the cottage with her sister and her little dog.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Garafraxa Hill Funeral Home, Chatsworth. A funeral service will be held at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Chatsworth, on Monday May 8, at 11:00am, Father Wojciech Kuzma officiating. There will a visitation 1 hr prior to the service. Interment St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Chatsworth. Following the service, friends and family are invited back to the funeral home for refreshments. A celebration of life will honour both Gay Lynne and her sister Peggy Anne, who passed during the covid pandemic. If desired, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, or the Toronto Hospital for Sick Children, would be appreciated by the family.
