Remembering Evelyn Engel

From: June (Thompson) Benedict
Robert and family: I am so glad I came to this website to read of Evelyn’s passing. I have so many fond memories of getting a ride to school in Desboro and time with Diane. Evelyn was always so nice and kind hearted. I know you will have many happy memories. We can sure tell how loved she was with the number of condolences. What a lovely tribute to her and to your family. Love to you all, June and Frank Benedict, Abbotsford, B. C.

From: Carol and Mel Deering
Dianne, your sisters and Keith, I am so sorry and shocked  to hear of your Mothers passing. I had a great chat with her and your Dad at Kettles one Sunday in the winter. Our mothers picked a bad time to pass, considering this virus, can't    have the funerals we would have had and the visitations. She was a lovely lady, I liked her a lot. Your father will be lost and for that I am also sorry. Memories will keep her alive for you for a very long time. God bless everyone of you, you were all so special to her.

I had the good fortune and pleasure of visiting with Evelyn and Robert this past summer during Summer Folk with Teresa.  These two lovebirds were quite the sight to see! They raised a kind, thoughtful and wonderful girl that became my good friend and for that, I am forever grateful. Evelyn was no doubt the root of her family and will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered. With deepest sympathy, Katherine Beneteau

Hello Robert, Brenda and I would like to offer our sincere condolences on Evelyn's passing. Unfortunately due to the pandemic we are unable to be there for you and your family providing some support at this time. Evelyn was such a positive person who brought out the best in those around her no matter the situation. The write up on the funeral home website was well done and quite interesting. In this time of sorrow lean on your family. Because of the up bring provided by Evelyn and yourself they are all strong and will be there for you when needed. All the best and stay safe, John and Brenda

Way back in my elementary school days, Evelyn was like a second Mom to me, and the farm was a second home.  I have many years worth of happy memories of Teresa and I playing in the pool, running alllll over the house, hanging out at the barn, and thanks to Evelyn, always having full bellies.  Teresa, your Mom will be greatly missed by so many who's life she impacted and by a Community that she was such a big part of.  As you go forward, enjoy the happy memories that will surface as you grieve.
Love to you all, Jody
