The family of Shirley Heimbecker (nee Young) of Holland Centre, sadly announce her passing on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Brightshores Health Systems in Owen Sound, at age 80. Loving wife of 60 years to Paul William Orval Heimbecker and cherished mother of Jamie Paul Heimbecker (Matthew MacLean) and Stacey Lynn Heimbecker (Joe Wright). Proud nana of Nathan, Matthew (Chyenne), Andrew (Izabelle), Zachary, Lucas (Katelyn), and Alexa. Survived by her in-laws Dianne (Bill), Patricia, and Rose (Neal). Predeceased by her sisters Verna (Jim), Sadie (Eldon), and Lorna (Ted), and by her parents Lorne and Ruby Young (nee Woyce). Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, neighbours, and grandpuppies Willow and Murphy.

Cremation has taken place and arrangements have been entrusted to the Garafraxa Hill Funeral Home, Chatsworth. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024 from 1 – 4:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Lunch and refreshments will be served. If desired, donations to the Grey County Community Paramedics would be appreciated by the family. The family wish to thank Dr. Doelman, Dr. Avarashi and RN Sabrina for their compassionate care.
