It is with heavy hearts that the family of Marilyn Carol Irvine (nee Wilson) announce her passing at Royal Terrace, Palmerston, on July 12, 2024 at the age of 89. She was predeceased by her dear husband of 43years, John Stanley Irvine. Marilyn is cherished by her children Jeffery Irvine (Norma) of Fordwich, Jill Irvine (Jim Knapp) of Campbellville and Gregory Irvine (Laurie) also of Fordwich. Special grandma to Angela, Casey, Tanya, Perry, J and Zoey. Great grandma to Kennith, Katrina, Kylie, Dominic, Nadine, Rylie and Madelyn. Great great-grandma to Scott. Marilyn was predeceased by her parents Mark and Edith Wilson, siblings Lois, Phyllis and Ross, son Timothy John, grandson Scott and many other cherished family and friends.

Marilyn started her life in Durham, Ontario and was the youngest of 4 children. Her father was the local butcher is Durham. She went to school in Guelph, fell in love with John Irvine and moved to Listowel, where they raised their 4 children. Marilyn loved to sing and joined the Sweet Adelines, enjoyed working for the VON and volunteered for the Listowel Hospice.

Cremation has taken place and funeral arrangements entrusted to the Garafraxa Hill Funeral Home, Chatsworth. A private family graveside service will be held on September 28th, 2024 at Shiloh Cemetery, Chatsworth.
