Remembering Sharon Stirling
From: Peggy Gatley
Sharon, Kelly, Denise, Anne, Michelle, Darla and Shelley, welcomed Scott and I to my Grandpa Rev, Harry Axford's old stone house in Chatsworth, with our 1 mon old son Skye Robyn Larke in 1977. Sharon named our local travelling kids puppet show,"The Skye Blue Puppeteers" and collaborated, on so many hilarious skits to entertain at school, libraries 7 senior's homes. With Michelle became chief organizer, with Sharon as production manager & wacky puppeteer. It was her idea to stuff puppets with balloons, so they'd blow up with a bang in the Mad Doctor and Frankie n Johnny skits.Baby Skye held up a wee balloon, while she sang,"Baby Face", then popped it so he'd yell,"Nooo!"bringing down the house. Her boisterous, laugh, fearless,"Holy! Just give 'er!" used to turn any simple challenge, into high adventure with tons of belly laughs. She was fast becoming a community leader, even at the young age of 12 yrs old, in sports and organising fun activities for the smaller kids. My son Skye absolutely adored and deeply missed her, until the day he tragically passed, March/04/2019, following a double kidney/pancreas transplant, for Juvenile Diabetic Renal failure. Like Sharon he passed from a sudden deep brain bleed. I believe that they have both joyfully found each other in heaven, along with dearly missed Michele Juniper and Shelley Brown, for I have had dreams of all of them together. All were Warrior Angels both on this side, having to face challenges few knew about. Their courage, strength, sense of humour in the face of adversity, infectious belly laughs, faith that close friendships should be forever, are the spiritual energy that now make up our dearest and most inspiring memories to hold onto, teaching us that, "Fear not!"is the most powerful, celebratory, way to live life! Keeping Sharon, Jim, Nicole, Melissa, Donna and Laurie, in our prayers and loving thoughts always.

Jim, Nicole and Melissa, We are all so sorry to hear of Sharon’s passing. We have so many wonderful memories. I don’t think I ever saw her without a smile on her face. To driving my kids safely to school, to the booth, to meeting up with her in stores. I know she will always be remembered in our house. A quote that I read on an arena bench in Stratford one day “life is not measured by its length, but by its depth”, sums it up. She sure made life great in the short time that she was with us. We consider ourselves so fortunate that our lives were touched by such a wonderful Lady.

I am so sorry to hear of Sharon's passing, hugs and prayers for all of you. Sharon and I had so many happy memories. I have many photos of our times together. We were always together in our younger days, horses were our passion together we road every back road of the area. All the time spent with Peggy at the Chatsworth house. Sharon you touched my life in so many ways, I wish that I had stayed in touch with you all, life gets so busy and sometimes we miss those we know so well. You were the closest person to me for so many years like the sister I never had. If I was not at your house you were at mine or we were out riding our horses. You found your soul mate in Jim and have two amazing daughters who were so lucky to have you in their lives. Godspeed Sharon I know that you will be missed by so many and are loved by so many. I can still hear your laugh and see your smile.

Glenn and I started going over our memories of Sharon last night and it took some time to get thru them all. She was so much fun and up for anything. The night she drove a whole bunch of crazy Chatty people to Nashville North for our first mystery bus tour and dropped the last rider off at 6:00 am the next morning was not something everyone would do but Sharon was up for it and what fun we had.
She warned me after she found out it was me walking to work on the highway that she was going to blow the horn when she passed me to make sure I was awake and she sure did and I sure was. Chatsworth knew that smile and her infectious laugh and tonight our little village is less one great gal. Safe travels Sharon, we'll miss you very much. I hope you're still smiling and laughing wherever you are.
