Dear Liz, We are very sorry for your loss.  We did not know Mac very well but always enjoyed his sense of humour at the Memory Cafe.  His speech two years ago should be recommended reading for anyone starting the dementia journey.
Please visit us occasionally during a Memory Cafe meeting. Love Willy and Jacob.

Hi Betty!   I was so sorry to hear about Mac's death!!  My earliest memories in life include Mac as my honorary "big" brother while he lived with us and went to high school while we were at the farm near Desboro!  Our nickname for him was "garbage can" as we never had to worry about leftovers......as a growing teenager, he was always hungry!!  I can remember his kindness as he was always willing to take the time for a play or to read a book or pull the wagon to give a little girl a ride.  He was very much an important part of our family for those years!!!  I also remember your wedding as it was the very first one I attended as a child and was a tad bit jealous that Penny was your flowergirl......but, I was so impressed with how beautiful the bride was and could I get a dress like yours!!
Dad very much enjoyed re-connecting with Mac these past few years and know he treasured the many visits that Mac made to Lee Manor to spend time with him.....they always had lots to chat and reminisce about!
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.  Treasure the wonderful memories of the years you spent together.....no one can ever take those away from you!!!
God Bless!   Love Pat

Dear Liz: Mal will miss Mac very much, as will I. You were both part of our great experiences at Memory Cafe over this last few years as we all learned “to live with Alzheimer’s”. It turned out to be very possible and we found enjoyment in each other’s company. Mac was a wonderful companion to Mal at the Adult Program: they laughed together there. We will miss his cheerful personality and his quick wit. He always had a happy thought and welcome for all of us. See you soon, I hope.
