With heavy hearts, the family of Kathleen Thompson (nee Ratcliffe) sadly announce her passing on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Grey Gables, Markdale, at age 96. She is now reunited with her husband of 58 years, Lorne, who predeceased her in 2007. Loving mother of Allan (Kate Grant), Brian (Linda) all of Markdale, Blair (Cathy) of Berkeley, David (Gail), Jerry (Kelly), also of Markdale, and Marilyne Saunders (Garnet) of Meaford. Cherished grandma of Ian Thompson, Stacey Thompson, Carrie Cipriano, Janine Warnock, Matthew, Andrea and Craig Thompson, Daniel and Michael Thompson, Adam Saunders, Shaun and Connor Thompson. Proud great-grandma of Paige and Ava Aldred, Layne and Waylon Thompson, Owen and Mikayla Warnock, Sierra and Dakota Cipriano, Reagan, Forrest, and Olivia Thompson, and Ethan and Bennett Thompson. Step great-grandmother of Brandon and Darren Bumstead. Predeceased by her infant sons Steven and Scott, siblings Mac Ratcliffe and Aleda Johnston (Russell), parents William and Della Ratcliffe, sister-in-law Marie Ratcliffe, and daughter-in-law Cheryl Thompson.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Garafraxa Hill Funeral Home, Chatsworth. A Funeral Service officiated by David Fries, will be held in the funeral home chapel, on Tuesday, November 14, at 11:00am, with a vistation one hour prior. Interment Markdale Cemetery.
